Main Street Internships’ goal is to help bring together small businesses and smart, energetic young professionals. Students with a desire to succeed in life and make a positive mark on society bring new life to small businesses and often find rewarding careers where they are given the chance to make a difference.

Our Philosophy
Main St Internships’ philosophy is based on how we see the education industry and its link to the professional world. Attending college distinguishes you from much of your competition and a degree is a badge of accomplishment. However, in an economy with high unemployment, the over educated and under experienced job seeker is a red flag for businesses cutting costs. Our goal is to eliminate this gap in the resume by pairing students with small businesses so they can grow together during the student’s degree path. When we do this there is a natural culminating point where the student graduates and has the experience required to launch a professional career they can enjoy. Businesses like this model because it means they can help shape the industry knowledge of a potential full time employee with experiences unique to their specific business operations.

We are a community of dissidents from across the globe focused on staying informed and providing a voice for those who are unable to speak. Global Dissident believes that by providing a platform for this community to interact we are enabling freedom of information and thought. It is our most sincere hope and belief that by doing this we are moving toward a more free and healthy global society.

We are dedicated to promoting those who seek the truth. Any member who submits an article or video we feel represents the integrity we strive for at GD has a chance of earning a Global Dissident Research Grant. Our hope is that the winners are able to use the money to further seek out the truth and tell the world what they find when they find it. Our promise to you, our members, is to strive toward providing the most accurate and unbiased information we can and in a timely manner.
